From the Earth Ceramics

Hello, My name is Lindsay Weaver. From the Earth Ceramics is a brand new thing for me, I've been making pots for about 16 months and I am graduating from college in two weeks. In the next year I am going to do some traveling, working, and most importantly I will always be trying to make pots and improve on my skills.Personal Artist Statement:Nature is my muse; it is in nature that I commune. Tree bark textures, seashell-like fossil imprints. Blue, green, brown geological hues. Preservation and appreciation of the natural landscape. Some images can be seen in panoramic view while other require a more personal analysis. My intention is to bring the brilliant color, organic surface, and spiritual essence of nature inside. With each work of art I create my mind is perched upon the memory of an experience, a landscape viewed, a sunset witnessed, a warm ray of sunshine absorbed. My images are journal entries without words that render my visions according to my senses, my mind, and soul
