I have been here in Nashville for over 20 years. Doing producing, writing, photography, and setting the stages for some great exposure for talent. I love my life, my creative friends and my job as personal manager of a great talent. Previous experience in LA as a Singer, Actress, and Music Coordinator for some great people taught me the ground work. You don't need college to become what is needed in this biz. You need a belief in the goal. Putting teams together, traveling the road of life and now at this point I'm so excited about upcoming and new ventures! I have worked for Ricky Nelson, Bob Segar, Joe Walsh, and was lucky enough when I came to Nashville to stay in Conway Twitty's home, till I totally relocated. Jerry Reed was a mentor, as was Glenn Sutton. I have number one songs in other publishing companies such as Kelly Lloyd Music with the "Dave and Sugar" group cut upon their release from RCA and the new signing with ELECTRA ASYLUM produced by the famous Jimmy Bowen. In my own Moody Judy Music catalogue is a number 23 BILLBOARD charted song by Memarie, and a number 5 by Sam Lay with the song "Somebody Gotta Do It" and a number 1 with the same song by Little Milton in the Billboard Blues Charts. Many album cuts by Ronnie Milsap, Ray Price and Gene Watson to name a few. Moody Judy Music Pub is privileged to have co-writes with noted number one writers such as Wayne Carson's "The Letter" and Don Wayne noted writer of "Country Bumpkin" among others. Here is something I firmly believe in, Charts and the right ones, you see when it comes to awards and real notice...BILLBOARD CHARTING is the only one that matters. Of late I've been involved with Americana and Indie 911 and their acceptance of artists and songwriters. I am also a lyricist and published poet so words are very important to me. More importantly with New companies is putting lyricists together with great Melody people. I have been part of the signing of two major artists here in Nashville.
Lately I've been working exclusively with John Heinrich an extremely talented instrumentalist.
I love putting the whole package together, bringing talented people together be they a songwriter and/or a new artist. Charity work is also important to me,and I work with "Victories over Crime, and Vanderbilt Chemotherapy Womens Treatment Center.
Mottos of my life and my two companies Moody Judy Music and Lilac MoonProductions are "Keep the Music going" "Believe in the Dream."
Both companies are now branching out into Movies, Tv Music and scripts and in the creative world I fully believe ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. Music Friends love my blogs and newsletters and I plan to add interviews and tips here also. Lastly I am so pleased with all the talented friends I have made at MY SPACE.
