Coming from a musical family, Aronda Way has been a professional performer for more than twenty years. She attended the New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York’s Greenwich Village where she honed her craft to include many styles of music. Her vocal artistry and repertoire cover the full spectrum of jazz, soul, rhythm & blues and down home blues. Performance-wise, Aronda has traveled from New England to Germany and has excelled as a solo artist, vocal group member and producer.
Ms. Way has performed in very diverse productions such as the Spirit of Boston cruise ship, the theatrical production of Harlem Renaissance: Revisited with a Boston Flair, repeat performances at both the acclaimed Harlem Renaissance Garden Party of Providence, Rhode Island and the nationally known Steppin' Out event of Boston, which draws thousands each year.
Aronda has become a seasoned veteran on the New England music scene appearing in hot spots such as Sculler's Jazz Club, Ryles Jazz Club, the Cantab Lounge, Harper's Ferry and more. In addition, she has produced the Vocal Concert Series "Aronda" at the renowned Panzares Club. While in New York, Aronda has graced the stages of Sweet Rhythm, The Nuyorician Poets Café, The Cutting Room, The Village Underground, Blue Note, Smalls, The Metropolitan Ballroom, The Jazz Spot, South Street Seaport, Two Steps Down, and Saint Nicholas Pub.
Aronda Way was the premier award winner of the Budweiser sponsored regional competition, Jammin’ with the Masters. She is available to travel and sing in luxury hotels around the globe and is also available for weddings, special occasions and other gigs.
