My Name is Matthias König, I'm from Germany. I was born in the year 1988.Since I was young I was impressed by the great Phil Collins. His work with Genesis and his solo stuff was (and still is) one of the most inspiring things to me on earth. Looking up to this artist I have always felt a passion for drums and other percussion instruments. After six years of living without playing drums due to not being able to climb on a drum chair and reach the pedals I finally stepped into the world of rythm. I have been partly very lazy and partly pretty hard working on my drumming, always trying to get to the level, where the greats play. On that way I have been inspired by many drummers such as Dave Weckl, Danny Carey and many more.Over the years I began to develope a passion for progressive rock, psychedelic rock and just any rock music that feels ethereal. I began working with odd time signatures, polyrythms and other strange things used in that kind of music.Most of the work you will hear on my page however will be recordings from some years ago, where anything I did was just simple accoustic rock.
