Hi there.
Firstly before I even start I’d just like to say thank you to certain people for pushing me to do this.
My name is Anthony Weaver or 'Weaver' and this is my solo acoustic project. Just me, a guitar and a piano.
I have been writing acoustic music since I was bought a £30 nylon strung Argos- tastic Spanish guitar when I was 10, and not really knowing what I was doing back then, some may say I still don't, I re-strung it with steel strings. It sounded great until the neck snapped clean off!! Hilarity ensued!
I think one of the first coherent songs I ever wrote was a track called 'My World' which I wrote when I was an angry 14 year old, I'll post it up here when I record it.
From there I joined a band called Stinjee with some school mates and we played ridiculously fast punk tunes along the lines of NOFX. It was great and we stayed together for 5 years until I went to university in Derby.
It was here that I truely discovered what music was all about. I was plunged into a world where people didn't just listen to rock. This opened my mind to various forms of dance and electronic music and I started my side project Server One.
During my uni years I joined another band, originally called Onepointwentyone, with some very close friends, and after the tragic loss of a very close friend of ours we renamed it Tobias. After 4 years we decided to call it a day and all went our separate ways.
I went on to write music for a visuals company, Inside-us-all , and played a number of shows around the UK and Europe. together We have played Glastonbury 2007, Glade 2007 and Secret Garden 2007 and traveled as far as Seville to play the Lux festival in 2006.
Other current projects include a band called Mediabox which we are currently recording for. So please go and check it out as well and see what you think
My acoustic work, however, is more personal and organic. I decided that I only wanted to use acoustic instruments as a complete contrast to Server One. I also wanted to make the songs as accessible to as many people as I could, both lyrically and musically.
So with out further ado please have a listen and see what you think. Thanks for your time.
