In the early 80, SIMBA grew up listening to the music that he was exposed to, the likes of Madonna, Lionel Richie, Roberto Carlos, Michael Jackson and other.
His first passion with Hip-Hop started in 1993 when he saw the american band "De La Soul" on TV. But he only started thinking seriously about engaging himself into the Music World in 1994 when he saw unintentionally Common, singing "I used to love her".
After this, nothing else stopped his thoughts and dreams.
He started emulating American Rap Singers in that year and in 1997 he started composing his own lyrics, which consequently formed a group that was called Broxen.
In 1999 he departed from the group and started working on a Solo Carrier which resulted in a song called Glorious Food which was launched in 2001.
This single was a hit in the mozambican capital, Maputo, which encouraged him to record the Album in 2005 with the title Run and tell your Mother.
He has called upon joburg based production giants such as iko and dj papercutt.
This is his first and ever recorded Album, but it shows a lot of integrity and specially a will to win in the music industry.
SIMBA has recently started his own label named "Brown Records" and he is very excited about the cds he is waiting to release.
SIMBA is not just an average Hip-Pop artist, is a dreamer a concise young objective man, who understands the difficulty of young African boys today.
He dreams on a better tomorrow but he realizes that he needs more than just a dream, that’s why he invites you to listen to his cry in Run and Tell Your Mother.
