Ciudadano

Alexander Hernandez “Ciudadano” is a growing artist of reggaeton and hip hop who has achieved many artistic and non-artistic goals throughout his life. Ciudadano was born July 9th 1982, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. At the age of four, he was introduced to Hip Hop by his cousin Rene Cuevas who was a very good dancer. By watching his cousin dance, Ciudadano became interesting in Dancing with the aspiring desire of becoming the best street dancer in town. Ciudadano grew up showing his amazing dancing talent in school shows and other places. At the age of 17 he became interested in writing songs and one day that his friends where free styling, Ciudadano Freestyled his first song “South Bronx”. His friends were very impress with it and since that day he started freestyling all the time by the name of Alex of the Bronx. Later on, while growing as a freestyle artist, he decided to change his name to Ciudadano because he felt as being a right representation of an exemplary person. To show his love for his natal country, he writes the song “Soy Dominicano”, which was produced by Juno, a music producer. After achieving some success with the song, Ciudadano starts working with Leys Family and produced the song “Monta”, with Lucky Leize and Colina. Right after finishing “Monta”, he works on a reggaeton/hip hop remix with Juno, and then with a new song called “Sabrosura”, which he performed at different places. Because of economic need, Ciudadano starts working on different places such as Footlocker, and Bally Total fitness. He became top salesman for both of them. Later on, he became Executive of Sales working for Las Comadres Con Gloria B, and with it got the opportunity to represent Mapi TV as Board Member of LGBT. Ciudadano was achieving many goals, but his heart was in the music and he was getting away from his artistic dream. But, one day working with Gloria B, he met J Dash, a well know local reggaeton/hip hop artist, which whom he started to work on the music again. Presently, Ciudadano is working with JDash and the production of the single “Eso” promising to be one of the best reggaeton/hip hop artist of these times.
