About Me
My name is Mary, I was born June 5th in St. Louis, Missouri, the seventh child of nine to a Irish-Catholic family. My parents were from Ireland but they raised our family in Missouri. I moved from Missouri, in 1999, to San Francisco/Oakland areas of California to pursue my doctorate in clinical forensic psychology. Since then I have worked with many different types of people and disorders and I will be graduating with my doctorate shortly. I have worked with criminals and substance abusers for most of my professional career, however, I have also worked with abandoned and neglected children. Recently, I took a position at a Women's Recovery Treatment Center, where I provide assessment and treatment for patients with co-occurring mental illnesses and alcohol and other drug abuse.
Personally I love to laugh, learn, play sports, listen to music/dance, and to use my brain to investigate or research a varied of situations. I am kind and fun-loving by nature and I stay calm and positive in most situations.
I am very versatile and get along well with many types of people. I love dancing, movies, activity all of kinds, including baseball and football. I am a thinker and am comfortable juggling a myriad of facts. I tend to synthesize material easily and I think in webs of factors, not straight lines. I am imaginative and enjoy theorizing. I am good at both talking and listening.
