I kind of grew up with the sound of 1960's soul/funk/rnb, cuz my dad used to listen to that kind of music when I was little.I visited him on the weekends and we used to dig in his record-case. However, it must have been the middle of the nineties, when I got in touch with the hiphop culture. My first steps in producing were on computer programs such as hiphop-ejay and magix. When I got my first real hardware-sampler, the Yamaha SU700, it was the beginning of a passion with me. I made tons of beats based on classic vinyl-samples or I used CD's from the public library. Soon I felt the desire to also play own phrases and so I copped my frst keyboard, a Technichs KN400... Those were some fucked up sounds..haha! Well, as the years passed, I bought a MPC and jus kept doin my thing...(I was rapper all the time, too:) In 2003/2004 the whole thing got more professional:I finally got my Mac and Logic, learned a lot about sounddesign, mixing, arranging and stuff. I went to SAE college in Hamburg for a semester in 2005 and attended a course called "Electronic Music Producer" I learned that talent and passion mixed with the necessary know-how are the key to success. Today, I do not only do HipHop tunes for my Headcrack-Cats, but I also try to explore new territories like Nu-School RnB and Pop! (yeah, you heard right: POPular music!) Well, what can I say?!?
