2 Bone Giants

About Me

2 Bone Giants attack from all angles, deploying beats ranging from sludgy screwed-down productions to master blast blip-hop and heady verses that materialize with varying degrees of precision, pitch and pace. Their hypnotic sound -- a darkly sensual and cinematic fusion of hip-hop rhythms, soulful melodies, dub grooves, and choice samples makes you take a left turn from the mainstream and leads you to a place far from anything familiar and genre-fitting. Together the group is a spinning ball of next-level trip-hop/downtempo thought moving towards your eardrums. They specialize in darkside instrumental excursions, heavy on the downtempo breakbeats, jazzy flourishes and gut-bucket percussion. The Giants' sonic braindance is populated by blissed-out tempos, nearly invisible allusions and reflections from the leftfield. The majority of the band’s releases are instrumental, with sparse vocal elements and samples, scratches and acoustic instrument loops. The band is actually the side project/alter ego of Stealthsonic, a bulgarian electronica outfit. Everything that doesn't fit Stealthsonic's psyched out big beats and is aimed more at the sofa rather than the dancefloor goes under the 2 Bone Giants umbrella. On this side of electronic music the brothers behind Stealthsonic (Vladislav & Svetoslav) take the shape of two mad dexterous surgeons who slice and dice beats, loops and instruments into a breathtaking sonic concoction deep in their dusty, smokey laboratory. With influences drawn from diverse sources all over the grey matter area 2 Bone Giants threaten to be one of the harder to pin down groups on the downbeat landscape...
