One of my longtime passionate hobbies is concert photography. Some pictures go back twenty years and some are hanging in my famed rock room! Looking back I should have pursued a career but taking pictures for fun gets the job done too! Below are some of my fave pictures from my collection. I definitely could fill a whole house with just pictures!
From Nikki Sixx's website....I love this picture!
What rockstar's groupie are you?
You are Nikki Sixx's Groupie.
Take this quiz !
Motley gets their star!!
Most people who know me always hear me talk about my 'husbands' Nikki Sixx, Richie Sambora and Scott Stapp. Most don't understand the latter so I'll stop defending! I love anything about live music and being at a rock concert. Its one of the best natural highs anyone can experience! I love traveling coast to coast to see my favorite bands on tour. I always talk about buying own tour bus but most bands I know say I would change my mind if I shared the bus with 8 guys who don't get a shower everyday! The idea of sharing a tour bus with 8 guys sounds inviting but I think I prefer to be a solo artist with many invited guests :)
I have a couple of nicknames; Tally-ho and Lynyrd being a few. Regarding the latter, I can count on my hand how many people are allowed to call me that, so think twice! It all started out because of my hatred of Lynyrd Skynyrd's music and my friend Nick taking liberties on my name. It just sort of stuck!
I like the word FUCK. I like to say it, I like to yell it. Don't kid yourself...if you're having a bad day and everything is wrong, there is NOTHING else that will make you feel better until you say fuck...and you may have to say a few times...or a few hundred times. I like the word as a verb, an adjective, an adverb. Its all good in any form!.
I also usually refer to myself as an Eastcoast bastard somehow mistakenly misplaced in the Midwest! I love everything about Boston----well everything that is except for the Celtics. I have been a Patriot and Red Sox fan for a couple of decades now. Yes I was even a fan when they were always the losing team. I went through many years of heartache with the Pats and Sox. And recently, my Pats and Red Sox have both reminded me what that heartache was all about! Its all good, we did have some good years of winning.....and there is always next year. Most people ask me why I love Boston and all sports teams in Boston but not the Celtics. A few reasons. First I grew up in a household that despised the Celtics. I couldn't cross that line. Secondly, when I was a mere 11 years old, I chose the Pats and the Red Sox as my teams because they were Boston teams...my favorite US City...I also chose them because they weren't "America's team" Everyone loved the Celtics for no good reason other than that they win. I wanted the "anti-American team. Little did I know some 20 years later, my two teams would become "America's teams"! (I hated that label by the way) Now that we are losing again though, the true fans will shine though. Sox and Patriots...always!
Ladies and gents! Let me introduce you to one of the best bands you'll see live! Shinedown! Finally, I updated with a picture that includes the new lineup on guitar and bass. The Sound of Madness is out in stores now!!! Some killer tunes on that CD...the title track, Devour and Breaking Inside are my faves...all the others a close second! Make sure you take in multiple Shinedown concerts this year! They will not disappoint. There is no such thing as an 'off nite' when it comes to Shinedown.
What, more red? (he's in hubby contention)
Some old footage of Creed. Now these were the FUN days!
One of the greatest live music moments on SNL happened back in 1991. I remember watching this on TV and being floored by what I saw. Skid Row made their mark with this performance!
My dudes Creed at Woodstock '99. Great cover of Roadhouse Blues!
