In 2003, Brett McLain founded Freehand Custom Carvings which showcases some of the best chainsaw artists from around the world. Some of these artists include: Dennis Beech, Mick Burns, Rick Boni, Zoe Boni, Angie Polglaze, Heath Bender, Rodney Holland, Sebastian Seiffert, Stephanie Huber, & Joe Rego. We also get frequent visits from local artists Tim Boaz, Abe Gruswitz, Joel Penkala, Aaron Stark and a few others.Freehand is a way to bring many of the world’s best carvers together to showcase their art in one place. Having different carvers from around the world showing their art at Freehand is not only inspiring, but also allows the in-house artists to pursue more of their own exploratory pieces.Freehand is truly pioneering the business of chainsaw carving as well as constantly pushing forward the development of the art form.Freehand was created to answer the overwhelming demand for original chainsaw carved sculptures.
