After a year or so of playing the acoustic bar scene in Tulsa, Dan & Chad decided it was time to play with a full band. Dan had been playing in an 11 piece R&B/Hip Hup band called Coco Jones and the Dopeness, when he met Austyin King; and accomplished pianist, singer, and drummer. About six months later they ran into Shawn Towle, an established bassist of 20 years at the Guitar Center here in town. Although they are probably the most unlikley combination of musicians, their diverse styles meshed incredibly well, and the jam band RubixGroove was formed. With solid guitars, fat bass lines, pocket drum grooves, spontaneous jam sessions, impromptu song selection, and three part harmony, the Groove is one of the most entertaining bands you will ever see live.
