Vintage Manifest began in January of 2007. The band has traded members since then but has settled with Darrin Nothing on guitar/vox, Eric on guitar, Ian on bass, Ryan ..s and F/X, and Neal on drums. The bands sound has evolved since the beginning, now having the darker, heavier sound that was just fighting to get out. The bands exploding, heavy, down-tuned metal sound mixed with a dark industrial feel sets them apart from a lot of bands today.Vintage Manifest’s music is influenced by multiple bands old and new, as well as old horror movies and literature. Each member brings their own talents and influences contributing to the bands overall sound. Darrin Nothing’s dark metal and industrial background gives him a creative advantage over many vocalist today; his voice is evil, heavy, and melodic. Eric’s fast and heavy guitar influence come from all parts of the musical spectrum; from death metal to classic rock. Ian’s bass playing adds the smooth, booming sound found in music that is more alternative than mainstream. Neal’s drumming is fast, heavy, steady and smooth; everything that makes a good drummer. He always tries to change up what he’s doing, so that every song has just the right mood.Vintage Manifest is always playing shows to promote their music and expression. They are always trying to one-up themselves with every live show they play with both their music and theatrical stage show. The stage, being littered with spider webs, gravestones, blood, fog, and anything halloween, makes them all feel right at home.In January, 08 the band recorded their debut EP, "Silhouettes and Guillotines."
