About Me

Two Tree Records first compilation release showcases an eclectic mix of eccentric bands from the South East, predominately in the seaside locations following the Thames out to see where pirates be. This seaside beat boasts some great bands incliding Virgo Intacta, Phillious Williams, Captain Blood Blood, The Local Wildlife, Seasiders, The Bootsale Band, The Starts and The Maze among others. While this scene is rife and survives on identity rather than image (even though we're all fucking georgeous round here) We saw it as a crime not to showcase what is evolving here in places A+R dread to tread. The album due out this summer coincides with a documentary film being made about the seaside beat to be shown at cannes film festival so other interest is present therefore we can all chip in and kick up some more interest for a scene that deserves it. THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF SOUTH ESSEX is in the shops now or online at www.zingg.co.uk We plan to follow up this release with showcases for other scenes in the area and some single releases so feel free to send us good material from any genre.
