THE STORY...

DRUMMER - SINGER - SONGWRITER
Beginning of 2007, I recorded my very first 4-track demo-EP "SEAN", a collection of self-written, self-produced and self-performed songs. Only 50 copies were made and distributed at my graduation exam as a drummer at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
I've been active as the singer and drummer for Nailpin since 2001.
With the band, I've toured countries like Japan, USA, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Austria, etc, while picking up several awards for "Best Rock" act and "Best Video" along the way.
I've been playing and enjoying music for over 17 years now: starting out on the piano at age 6, while taking up drums and starting to explore my vocal chords along the way from my 11th year.
I'm one of the main songwriters for Nailpin and have been creating my own songs for almost 10 years now.

IN THE STUDIO

So far, I've done studio jobs for:
Nailpin - "12 To Go", "White Lies & Butterflies" & "III": drums, vocals & piano on all tracks.
Flatcat - "So This Is When We Grow Up": backing vocals on all tracks.
Janez Detd - "Killing Me": backing vocals on "Deep" & "Crossed Your Heart".
The Agreement - "The Loneliness Award": worked on vocal arrangements.
Exit On The Left - "Revenge Never Sleeps" EP: backing vocals on "Next Time Stars Cross The Sky" & "Begging Ashtray".
Exit On The Left - "I Hope You Are Writing This Down": backing vocals on "Make Dreams Come True" & "Next Time Stars Cross The Sky".
Juliet Coy : drums and backing vocals on all tracks.
Triple-G : vocals on "Rockstar".
Ray Stephson : vocals on "Deadbolt" (Thrice) & "I Miss You" (Blink182).
Various projects as drummer/singer with Dutch bands like Stoked, RPA Allstars and Aborted bassplayer Sven Janssens .

TEACHING/CREATING MUSIC

I'm also constantly doing workshops in Belgium and the Netherlands ( Popsport ) concerning vocal-coaching, band-coaching, combining drums & singing, etc...

March 16th 2008, I've played and hosted the Adams Drummersfestival , sharing the stage with magnificent drummers like Thomas Lang, Jojo Mayer, Mike Mangini and Jesus Diaz (see the pics section).
Just like last year, I'll be hosting the Adams Drummersfestival at CC, Tessenderlo, April 5th '09, together with Dom Famularo. While big names like Simon Philips, Gregg Bissonette and Cindy Blackman will be taking the main stage, I'll be doing some drumming of my own as well, together with Eric Bosteels (Gorki) and Bram Raeymaekers (Wim Soutaer) in the Adams Hall.
Since February 2006, I've also been active as a VJ for TMF , the Belgian MTV affiliate, for which I'm now hosting my own 2 shows and have done interviews for with big rock acts and artists like My Chemical Romance, Juliette & The Licks, Zakk Wylde, Children Of Bodom, Postman, Air Traffic, New York Dolls, Stone Sour, Anouk, Hammerfall, Chimaira, The Veronicas, Caliban, Satyricon, 36 Crazyfists, Jamelia, Soulfly, Bloodsimple,... January 2009 I started working as a VJ for JIM, hosting my own show "En Avant La Musique".

CURRENT AFFAIRS

-At the moment I'm promoting NAILPIN's new album 'III', including the new single "The Quiet Shutdown", check the band's MySpace for tourdates.
-I'm also active as the drummer/backing vocals in female Canadian singer-songwriter Juliet Coy's (ex-Lowpass) band, who's debut album is now being mixed and liveshows being booked.
-Done with co-producing the Exit On The Left debut CD, released on Funtime Records, April 3rd.
-Co-wrote and produced het Buitenspeellied for de Vlaamse Overheid, together with Niko Westelinck , which is now available for download on the Nickelodeon website, while the video is in high rotation on Nickelodeon.
-And... more songwriting, workshops and other stuff coming up in the near future as well.
