Joey Concepcion is an upcoming rock guitar sensation hailing from Orange, Connecticut USA. At only 18 years old he possesses talent way beyond his years. From passionately expressive solos to burning shred, he is turning many heads in the industry with his advanced playing maturity. Joey was taught by Rich Roger. Rich is one of the top Guitar Virtuosos around Connecticut.
locally with his project “Deep Within†to playing demos at the Anaheim NAMM show, Joey’s name is starting to be known as one of the top names in the next generation of upcoming shredders. Already impressing many of today’s top players with his blazing chops, such as Michael Angelo Batio and Jimi Bell, Joey is already taking his instrument to the next level.
Mike Vescera (vocalist for Yngwie Malmsteen, Loudness, and Obsession) asked Joey to make a guest appearance on his latest solo album released in 2008. Then only 17 years old, the guitar solos Joey provided on the album “Sign of things to come†proved to critics that he is force to be reckoned with in the rock guitar arena. Other musicians on the album include Joe Stump (Holy Hell), Mats Oluassen (Yngwie Malmsteen), “Metal†Mike Chasiak (Halford, Pain Museum, Sebastian Bach), Chris McCarvill (Dokken, House of Lords, Jeff Scott Soto, Obsession), and Jimi Bell (House of Lords).
