The Iron Ghost aka Astronom
Born in Iran in 1986, "The Iron Ghost" aka "Astronom" went on to move to New Zealand at age 6. After 5 years he moved to Australia and after moving around the Gold Coast and Melbourne, finally settled in Sydney.
He started growing a passion for hip hop when listening to the Snoop, Dr Dre & Ice Cube, The Iron Ghost was not completely drawn into hip until in 2000 where he heard the words "I Gave You Fair Warning...Beware...Beware" (Big Pun, Captial Punishment, Immediatly The Iron Ghost saw his passion for lyricism. In the later years he progressed into writing his own lyrics, this key development stage lasted about a year, The Iron Ghost then heard Canibus, Killah Priest, Ras Kass, Nas & The Terror Squad and realised his calling to MC'ing, but this was not to be the staple point of The Iron Ghost's carreer.
Whilst The Iron Ghost was watching "Ghost Dog" and hearing the beats of RZA, he was inspired and then realised his calling to production. He gained heavy interest in Soul, Jazz and Classical, and grew a deep love of all musical genres, and was deeply influenced by Nina Simone, Sly Johnson, David Axelrod, Chi Lites, Sergio Mendes, The Stylistics. After many years of production he started really progressing into a fine producer, Producing songs for MC's & Vocalist around the world.
In the fourth year of his career he now stands out with a voice that cant be matched and a flow that is envied, his mixing and production skills are smooth and flow with a melodic beat that draws you into the music.
