I am a proud Alumni of Howard University. Although I was a Pre-Med Major, I ended up in Theatre which was a true Gift. I have been Blessed to work as Production Manager or Lighting Designer for wonderful artist and great shows. My theatre mother, Lynda Gravatt, introduced me to the business and my mentors and angels Mike Malone and Kenneth Daugherty made me the artist I have become. In addition I have had the pleasure to work Ms. Ruby Dee, Dr. Maya Angelou, Garth Fagon Dance Theatre, The Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Rennie Harris Puremovement, The Bucks County and Pocono Playhouses, and the Boys Choir of Harlem (in their glory day). I have had several high moments in my career, however one of the biggest was being named as one of the Lighting Designers to watch in Lighting Demensions Magazine.I have also branched out into music which allowed me to work with amazing vocalist and musicians such as Vivian Green, Cyndi Lauper, Nina Simone, Alberta Hunter, Stevie Wonder, Regina Carter, Diane Reeves, Wynton Marsalis, Ray Charles, LL Cool J, and my favorite drummer Sammy.My greatest joy is my family. I have amazing nieces and nephews who I think are the best in the world. Jennifer and Isaiah, by blood and heart.
