I am going to open a business that helps other small businesses get started in the next 2 year. I am going to open a small cafe in the next 6 months. Its going to have a fairly continental (and by that I mean European/Parisian) feel, upscale and comforting at the same time with what I call a going out without going out feel, it will be where you go when you want to be out but don't want to have to go out. I LOVE TRAVELING. Every year I go somewhere different, I was in Playa del Carmen in May and didn't want to come back. I loved Amsterdam, and I'm going to try to get to Paris in 2007.
Anyone who finds me remotely interesting. Anyone actually, I love meeting new people and talking about everything. I know that sounds really dorky but whatever. I wear my nerdiness like a badge of honor.
I have really eclectic tasts, I'm Really getting into Les Nubians, and older French jazz, and blues. Something so raw and real about bluesy rock. I listen to any and everything. I love world music and anything that is original and has a great beat, or ferocious lyrics. Heard some great beats from the strangest source, the world. Just listen and its all there. Patterns of speech can tell you so much . I'm loving Matisyahu's beat boxing. Its amazing that he is self taught. I am spinning Christina Aguilera's new cd, Price's old cd's, Muddy waters, Korn, Rage against the Machine and oddly enough, Snow Patrol and Spice Girls. You figure it out
I love all movies, I love old movies, with classic stories about mystery and mayhem. I love epic bloody battles and great fight scenes in movies, and classic love stories, that would make me such a girl, but yeah. thats just me. I love good stories, (as previously stated) and love them in many languages.
Law and Order, CSI, House, Nip/Tuck and BBC world news. I love Inside the Actor's Studio. The Daily Show and the Colbert Report are the most intelectual and honest programs on television. Chapelle is a genius, pure and simple. And my guiltiest TV pleasure goes to ... VH1. Their countdown shoes, Celebreality, and musical programing make me happy inside.
SHANTARAAM by Gregory David Roberts changed my life Daughter of God, Memoirs of a Geisha, Anything by CLive Cussler or James Patterson, or Norah Roberts. Anything by Dr. Seuss, he is a philosopher for children of all ages. I just love reading, and yeah I know that makes me a big dork. .
The people that do their jobs every day, and don't complain. The working men and women of the world hoping to make their childrens lives better through their sacrifice and commitment. That's heroic. Those that lead lives of quiet desperation.
