My Interests

My interests are the usual young person type. Music, film and general entertainment.I was going to go watch the northern B-Boy finals on the night of writing this, however I have ended up at home writing this due to cracking my ribs by falling down the stairs like the clumsy mofo that I am.I also play guitar and like reading (mainly non fiction).

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet a number of people but obviously there are so many of them it's impossible to bring the top few to mind.Even if I did meet these people I know that I'd never remember all the questions I had to ask them and for those questions I did ask I probably wouldn't remember most of the answers. So there you go, some of the mad ramblings of my indecisive mind. If it would satisfy you, here's some names that come to mind now.Any god, then I would know that some higher being exists. Beethoven, Led Zeppelin, Tom Jenkinson (AKA Squarepusher), Juan Fidel Castro, Noam Chomsky, George Monbiot, Orson Welles, Charlie Chaplin, Terry Gilliam and others such as Leonardo da Vinci, Nikola Tesla and the ever beautiful Marylin Monroe, typical but true.

Music:

Some of my musical heroes are mentioned above and there are lots more, in no particular order of importance but I'm not going to bore you with them. I'm going bore you with the following list.I like a number of genre's. Some Classical, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Blues, Rock, Hip-Hop, Breakbeat, Electronica and Techno etc but obviously it comes down to the tune as genre is a pretty broad description.

Movies:

Most of the time I like films that make you think or involve you such as Delicatesson, Oldboy and Brazil. I also like films that keep you thinking for ages after, such as any David Lynch movie! However sometimes I like to mong out and watch something purely entertaining like 70's Chinese Kung Fu or Comedies. One film I love that beautifully combines a thinking film with a comedy is I Heart Huckabee's. If you like films like this and you haven't seen Amatorene (Norway) or Goodbye Lenin (Germany) check them out.Last but not least the Classics such as Citizen kane, Dr Strangelove, Modern Times and Apocalypse Now.

Television:

I like a good documentary, be it nature, politics or whatever. I would actually like to watch less TV but I've got to admit that it's produced some great action over the years.Red Dwarf, Newman and Baddiel and the Office are a few things that come to mind as making laugh or cringe most on first viewing. Green Wing was Fantastic and having said that so is South Park.Other than this I watch the UKTV History channel on Freeview and loved that series the BBC did called Rome. TV is also good as it shows the football.

Books:

There are a number of books I like, I'm reading a great book right now bought for me from a friend (thanks Smif) called Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail 1972 by Hunter S.Thompson.A life changing fiction is Narcissus and Goldmund by Hermann Hesse.I love any book by Noam Chomsky and I'm interested mostly in reading non fiction. I like reading about recent history or ancient history. The world is too old for me to bother with the stuff inbetween.A life changing non fiction is The Age of Consent, A Manifesto for a New World Order by G.Monbiot.

Heroes:

Well I've said enough about people I buzz off now so I'll shut up. Whoever you are, take it easy.
