Vogon Poetry originated november 1993 when guitarist Tim van Venrooij (ex-member of the illustrious Cybhra) and drummer RadBoud de Bree (Cybhras sound engineer) started a legendary band called The Coberco Brothers. They were soon joined by bassplayer Marcel Slagter, who had played with Tim in a band called DaB Jammer. The band name was soon changed to VOGON POETRY and together they recorded an album, Forty-two. The three Vogons worked with different musicians over the years. This resulted in some beautiful songs in the Prog/Alternative/Sympho/Metal genre. They recorded their second album RUST with underground industrialist Bauke van der Wal (Law-Rah collective), soon followed by the single REST. After their last singer left, the Vogons decided to stay an instrumental band for a while. Several songs were recorded during the years that followed in which the boys perfected their INSTRUMETAL. The Vogons are currently recording their third album, so check www.vogonpoetry.net regularly for new songs!
