I would like to present to you the MOST BEAUTIFUL BATTLE EVER!!!!..... "W.A.R."... Which stands for "WhichArtist Rules", is an all out clash of musical terms/battle of the bands. OCTOBER 27th 2007.Upcoming events may include genres of all types in one show, so keep an eye open!

Q ) How do I register to compete?
A) Well, after adding this profile to your friends list bands must submit a portfolio via EMAIL ([email protected]) consisting of a band bio, photos, songs and live performancefootage(optional). Also, each Band’s portfolio, website and or myspace music page will be viewed forcontestant consideration. So, you may also send all of your page and video links via email and ormyspace.
Q) When is the latest you can submit an application for the event?
A) THE DEADLINE for band submissions will be AUGUST 31 2007. SO APPLY NOW!!!!
Q) How soon will we know if we have been chosen as participants in the Battle?
A) The decision, event flyer design, and first formal meeting will be posted and scheduled no laterthen SEPTEMBER 3RD.
Q) What should I expect on the day of the event?
A) On the scheduled night, each band will play against one another, alternating time spent on thestage. The winner shall receive a GUARANTEED prize of $1000.00.
Q) Are all genre’s encouraged to submit an application?
A)TEN BANDS will be chosen to compete. The genres include:Alternative,Jazz/R&B and Blues, Funk/Go Go, Hardcore Rock, and Hip-Hop/Rap, Funk, etc. It will be a musical free-for-all, meaning it's not limitted to any particular genre. TICKETS WILL BESOLD!!!!. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SELL TICKETS!!!!
Q ) How do I win?
A) You win by simply taking control of the crowd through energy, words, instrumentation and bringing asmany of your fans as possible. The judging is ALL CROWD BASED. (see the judging blog for more details)
Q ) What are some of the benefits in competing?
A) By competing in this competition, you will be able to...
1. Get your band more exposure.
2. Earnthe opportunity to play on the stage of a well known and successfully run venue, Peppermint Beach Club, Virginia Beach, VA.
3. Use a merchant table in the venue lobby, where you may sell ALL of your band's merchandise duringthe entire event.
4. Compete for a grand prize $1000.00 CASH.
5. Earn performance experience as well as a personalreference(me the administrator) for their Band's resume.
6. Will be placed in the top level of the W.A.R. musician database for all future shows.
7. ALL chosen participants helping in the promotion and ticket selling process will be rewarded.
