They set out to create your next cruising anthems, private dance tracks, and subconscious soundtrack to your unforgettable coming of age moments. If the overwhelmingly glowing response from fans, press, and Myspace friends is any indication, Liam and Me has accomplished just that.While the Liam and Me sound certainly draws from 80’s new wave bands like The Cars and The Cure, it would be unjust to write them off as another retro band simply adhering to the genre. One spin through There’s a Difference will reveal a bevy of influences, most which are not Reagan-era surplus. Liam and Me cuts out the arty-pretension and hipster attitude that is running rampant in modern rock in favor of inventive pop accessibility and all-out fun.Though the members of Liam and Me have been playing music together sporadically for many years, the band formally materialized in 2004 with its current lineup, sonic direction, and base of operations in Philadelphia.Liam and Me is somewhat of an anomaly among city bands. Although they do play at some of the great bar venues on occasion, Liam and Me generally favors blowout all ages affairs in the surrounding suburbs, building a large fan base under the 21+ radar.
