dr. strangelove, clockwork orange, 2001, akira, city of lost children, delicatessen, battle angel, ghost in the shell, raising arizona, the big lebowski, oh brother where art thou, young frankenstien, south park, team america, the last tango in paris, the dreamers, metropolis, john waters rules, batman begins was pretty good, both spidermen, and the x-men movies, evil dead, night of the living dead, the shining, john carpenter movies are nice, magnolia, boogie nights, raging bull, taxi driver, sin city, the lord of the rings trilogy, and star wars, rubin and ed, the limey, the lady from shanghai, the third man. i've been watching a lot of film noir lately. i could keep going but i think you get the point.
ghost in the shell-stand alone complex, home movies, arrested development, reno 911, full metal alchemist, family guy, futurama, dave chappelle, samuria champloo, murder one, south park, aqua teen hunger force, lost, angel, buffy, firefly, duckman, the new battle star galactica, Star Trek (any and all of the series), stroker and hoop, most everything on the discovery channel
Asimov and DeLillo are my favorites, suggestions always welcome though.as for comics, graphic novels, and manga: Sam Kieth, Jack Kirby, R. Crumb, Garth Ennis and John McCrea, Frank Miller, Osamu Tezuka, Masamune Shirow, Katsuhiro Otomo, there's more but those are the big ones.....and oh yeah Joe Landsdale he would actually go in both the books and comics/graphic novels
