Girls named Ellen. I want to meet interesting people. or sane people who can at least joke about stuff.
I listen to just about everything. Primarily alternative, techno-industrial, and ambient, although I listen to a fair amount of female vocalists, a handful of country artists, rock, metal, emo, techno, J-rock/pop, jazz, and classical. I don't go out of my way for rap music, though.
I'll watch anything once. When it's cheap, I catch as much as possible, unless the reviews are really bad. I always try to find the things I like in a movie (instead of focusing too much on the negative, which can be too easy). I can't commit myself to a Top 5, because that would change hourly. But Nightmare Before Christmas, Fight Club, Boondock Saints, The Crow, Lucky # Slevin, Wicker Park, and In America are always prime candidates.
I hate ads. I usually use the TV for games and movies, but when I do watch shows, I try to watch shows that don't make me grimace. That means Heroes, BBC, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, and just about anything HBO.
Wheee! Favorite authors are: William Gibson, Terry Pratchett, Bruce Sterling, Neal Stephenson, Piers Anthony, Steven Brust, Nick Hornby, and Christopher Rowley. I read a lot of books, but even with all the practice, I don't read very fast. I try to absorb everything I read. I get a lot of weird stuff through relatives, like martial arts, anthropology and political non-fiction. Currently reading Quicksilver by Stephenson.
Johnny Cash, Matt Wilson, Ansel Adams, Miyamoto Musashi, Princess Peach
