Whitey Powers

Whitey's a simple but effective producer , not your average bear! Amongst his piles of old hip hop magazines , crates and crates of dusty vinyl, empty spray paint and various 70's erotica VHS videos, you find lost elements of raps Golden Era that makes your eyes wander around this cluttered room and notice piles of outboard gear, 12 bit samplers and 70's synths. If this guys taste in hip hop is anything to go by, I'm sure Golden Era hip hop fans and so-called crate-diggers will love his next project ,in which he only uses the prehistoric essential gear used to make classic 88'-91' hip hop!!!.......... but back to that later........ Whitey Powers odd name compliments his odd manner, sometimes cold and negative , other times happy and a pest! He can talk your ear off about rare or dope slept-on random hip hop or, about being a hardware purist , but contradicts this by recording and sometimes editing tracks on a mac. When are you gonna get it Whitey?......... people just want to hear music ,and they don't need a half hour story about how you get the sounds to sound the way they do , or what new patches you made on you modular.
