The virus causes one to become uncontrollably violent. The effects are similar to what one would expect a zombie to have. The infected eat human flesh, and any bite or bodily fluid transfer from the infected will infect one almost instantly. The initial outbreak of the Rage virus, caused when an infected chimpanzee attacks an animal rights activist attempting to free animals from a laboratory.Infecting the animal rights activist who infected another and so on. seven months (twenty-eight weeks) after the infection originally broke out and based upon the assumption that the infected have died of starvation a US-led NATO operation begins to re-populate the country. A unit commanded by US Army General Stone takes control of the now-lifeless London, and quarantines the city into separate "District" areas (Central London itself being no. 1 and the rest of the London area undergoing sterilisation). After many weeks of work, the city is declared fit for habitation and the first group of British survivors from the European refugee camps arrive at London City Airport under US guard. Tammy and Andy, who are the first children to come back to England after it was declared safe, learn from their father that their mother did not survive the Infected attack on their cottage. The family nevertheless tries to push on and they, along with other refugees, are contained into temporary safezones in large secure apartment blocks (until the U.S. soldiers declare individual homes and houses fit for habitation). Breaking out of the secure zone to collect personal items from their old family home, the children discover their mother Alice is in fact alive. She is immediately quarantined by Stone and myself when I discovered during invasive medical checks upon entry that she shows signs of Rage contamination. Stone and I agrede to keep her in quarantine at our headquarters to prevent London's population being infected with Rage again, but we disagreed on what to do with Alice. I tried to persuade him to keep her alive in order to study her, but Stone made the decision to have her killed as a preventative measure first. Alice's blood could contain a possible vaccine or even a cure to the rage virus, however whend Don, Alice's husband, goes to find his wife he kisses her and himself becomes infected. He kills her then goes to kill a few of our soldiers. Then the soldiers along with Don start infecting others. I saved Andy and Tammy. We met up with Doyle, a sniper. The four of us attempted escaping England. It is of the utmost importance that Andy, and Tammy make it out alive. Not only because they are children, but their blood could contain the same immunity to the rage virus that their mother's blood had.
