Cars, Drag Racing, Classic Car Restoration, general stuff of that nature
I guess folks with the same general interests as me... I'd love to meet some more local car folks.
LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR: If I don't know you, the chances of me approving your friend request are minimal. If you send me a message saying "hey baby, u fine, get up wit me" or something of the sort, yet I have no clue who you are, I'm not going to respond. No, I do not want to add your band, or see you naked on cam. If you honestly want to get to know me, don't send me generic bullshit... ask me a question or at least put some thought into it. If your message looks like it was a cut & paste going out to 300 other people, I'm not going to pay it any mind, so don't waste your time sending me the "you'se a bitch" message after I don't respond either, that will not get anymore of a response out of me.
Also, if you are from any of the forums I'm a member of, please let me know who you are when you send your friend request. It helps me weed out the psychos mentioned above. :)
Among Others...
I'm particularly fond of Comedies and Action movies, but I can find something I like from every genre.
Nip/Tuck of course. CSI, Law & Order. But I don't watch much TV.
I love to read! Everything just about. Lately I've been reading a lot of local history books (thanks to my grandfather) that were written pre-1970.My favorite thing to read would probably be the twisted short stories by Roald Dahl though. If you've never read any of them, I strongly suggest picking up the book The Best of Roald Dahl and see the twisted, wicked, and just plain grotesque things that the popular children's author actually LIKED to write about.
My heros are pretty much anyone that has looked failure in the face and kept on trying. It's not an easy thing to do, and anyone that has the ambition to do so has my respect.
But if you'd like me to name one person... I'd have to say my Dad. He has been through some really horrible things in his life... everything from being abandoned at fifteen to a divorce from his true love when he never believed in divorce to being diagnosed with an incurable condition in his thirties. But he has never once expected pity or handouts. He has picked himself up out of all the hell everyone has ever put him in, and he's definitely coming out on top. I also admire him for his ability to take a $600 car and build it up into a 5 second street car. He's amazing, and I couldn't ask to have a better bloodline. *tear*
