Band Members:Cassanova Deville was born Derick Thomas on Dec.7 1983 His parents resided in Aurora Colorado but called Temple Texas home. Shortly after his birth, the family relocated to Temple, Florida, where they resided for the next 15 years. Cassanova's mother loved music and always played records for young Cassanova and his brother A.C. After taking an interest in djing Cassanova's mother bought him a Gemini belt drive turntable starter kit and he began his music career as a DJ. A local radio personality who was a family friend took young Cassanova under his wing, often inviting Cassanova to attend live radio broadcasts. This DJ had Djed under the moniker DJ Romeo after learning valuable skills from DJ Romeo. Young Derick decided to branch off on his own. He started mixing his own cd’s and selling them at local schools, under the name DJ Cassanova. After hearing artist like UGK, No Limit, Lil Keke, 2Pac, Biggie, LL Cool J, Roger Troutman and numerous other artist. Cassanova decided to pick up a pen and pad and started rapping himself. His brother AC was already making beat instrumentals on a Dr. Groove drum machine and Cassanova started laying vocals over AC’s instrumentals, building a buzz in the local Temple community, shortly after Cassanova and his family relocated back to Colorado. After having trouble finding a recording studio, Cassanova finally stumbled across a place he could record some music in downtown Denver. Soon after Cassanova and his brothers started a group called Platinum Rush, after releasing several mix tapes members of the group decided to part ways and he went on to join a group called Rush Mobb Click with some of the former Platinum Rush members. There were creative differences with members of Rush Mobb Click so Cassanova decided to join his brother as an artist at Killen’em Entertainment where it’s currently making his mark with his new hit single “real and the Fake†and is currently working on several solo projects. Cassanova’s unique style and delivery has become something his fans appreciate and love.
