About Me
My name is Sidney Allinson -- a Canadian writer. I am author of eight books, and over 800 feature articles in magazines and newspapers, plus scripts for 23 documentary movies, and have written countless TV commercials and advertisements. I am also managing director of Salvo Media Co., a publishing company that specializes in military and literary topics.
I am a past Director of the Royal Canadian Military Institute, and current Chairman of the Pacific Coast Branch, Western Front Association.
Born in Durham, England, lived in Southport, Lancs., served overseas with the Royal Air Force, was a long-time resident of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and also worked in advertising and the film industry in Houston and Los Angeles. Now my home is in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, on the shore of the Pacific Coast.
