My journey as a rapper began at Independence High School when I was studying with my boys: Korey, Jean, and Ron. Since we were burned out from cramming, we decided to record a rap song. We drove down the street to pick up my boy Geoff because we needed his energy on the mic. After about 3 hours of writing and rapping, we recorded our first single "Tobble Tobble" on Korey's tape recorder. We decided to name ourselves the 704 Boyz and we debuted our song the next day after school. After hearing the responses we received, both good and bad, I knew that making music would always be a part of my life.Rapping is very therapeutic for me. It gives me an outlet to express all the thoughts that I repress on a regular basis. I don't like to filter my feelings, but sometimes doing so is a necessary evil. I understand my purpose on Earth and being a rapper is not it. Consequently, I do not dedicate my life to spitting hot fire. I do, however, spend a good amount of time making sure the music I create is on point. I record, mix, and master all of my music. There are times when I have to walk away from the studio because the whole recording process frustrates me. I never had any formal musical training so my learning curve has been pretty steep. Despite it all, I have recorded two solo albums (All Jokes Aside and The Hawthorne Effect) and one album as a member of the 704 Boyz (Tobble Tobble Vol. 1). I recently completed a full length LP under another name. I am confident that it is my best work to date. I may create another Myspace page to promote that album. I can say with all due modesty that my rhyming abilities have improved leaps and bounds with every recording. I only rap about what I know: myself, everyday life, and the ladies. I encourage you to listen to my music and give me some feedback. I hope you enjoy listening to my music as much as I enjoyed making it.LAYOUT
