About Me

Formed over the course of a few years, Grand River Orchestra plays pretty wintery folk music. Ian & Jerry recorded and released IN THE THIRD WINTER OF THE NEW CENTURY in 2003. The EP was recorded and produced by Brennan Galley, formerly of the Brautgans. Neil & Chad joined. They were the dream choices, the self-fulfilling prophecy of Ian & Jerry's idea of a perfect band for them. Hallelujah. In 2008, the band welcomed Jason Maile from The Atomic Drops, and new magic was born.

My Interests

Music:

Influences: many and far stretching as country afternoons. bowls of colourful fruit. free sundays. the basic truth that beauty exists everywhere and that every man, woman, child, and animal should have the opportunity to experience it.
Sounds Like: ***what it would feel like if it was like the beginning of September all year round. Imagine being able to wear a sweater, or not, whenever. Imagine riding a bicycle to work without getting too hot. Imagine being able to sit outside all day, but having to come in because it got too chilly.***what it would feel like to watch your lava lamp while on a train: with the clickity-clackity lulling you with smooth smothering gloopy-glops of gloop.***playing basketball in october, having to wear gloves.***piles of leaves.***watching return of the jedi with your friends.***
