Finally, it took a loooong ass graduation commencement and ya know, the kinda speeches that come with them, for me to snap outta the "college" mindset and to the realization that wtf, from now on, I ain't gonna be wakin' up 15 mins before a 2pm class to go to class but instead at 6:30am every damn weekday so I'll have enough time to get ready to look pretty, eat breakfast, drink my daily dose of coffee and watch the morning news & read the newpaper (jea right) before I walk out that door and sit in LA traffic for an hour before I get to work. OH MY GOODNESS...that's some crazy ass shit freels. But hey, that's l i f e right? Frankly, I am nervous and already missin' dem days. I will no longer be away from my home, the Bay, b/c I'm "away for college," but I will be living in a city with which I am somewhat unfamiliar and in which I have no family. Phew! But shit, I think to myself. I am so grateful. I came a long way to finally graduate from a good ass college mayn! I am thankful for the fam, especially my Moms & sister Fiona who support & love me unconditionally, and friends, Allison, Boneezy, Tina, Melissa and all the other beautiful & positive people in my life who have been there to party wit and support me. The past 2 years together was one meaningful ass period of my life, not only had I learnt so much from those great individuals around me, but I had also begun to know myself and to learn and grow as a person. So now, I think I am more ready than ever to face whatever uncertainties life has to throw in my face...shit...Bring it the fuck on!
