About Me

What's in a name? Oh, what's in a name? Well, for starters, my name is Liza-Monette. But people call me Liza. My family and family friends call me Monette... so you don't get to, hah!
So I am currently the ripe ol' age of 26 27. G'damn... just when I got used to being 25, I've turned 26 27. Good Lord, where does the time fly? Obviously over my head. I don't really care about aging, getting older, wrinkles, grey hairs, or losing the elasticity in my skin. Okay, maybe I care about the elasticity part. But getting older doesn't phase me really. 'Cause at the end of the day, I still feel like I'm 12 anyways. Well, a 12 year old with an old soul.
I'm a really BIG DORK! Of course, you'll only see that side of me if you're lucky enough to get to know me. I specialize in laughing LOUD. I'm very laid-back.
But I've realized that in more recent years I've become a very serious individual. Yeah yeah, I'm still silly and I still laugh at lame ass shit, but I've changed. Ahh, is that what they call "growing up?" I'm a lot more contemplative these days. But don't take that as me having my head in the clouds. I'm still as observant as ever.
I'm a little more closed off now days. I am not one to talk about my life story, unless you ask and have genuine interest. I no longer feel the need to "shoot the breeze" or talk about randomness. I'm all about substance and meaning. What's the point of talking about things just to talk about them? To hear yourself speak? To talk "at" another person? No thanks. I'd rather enjoy the silence, thank you very much. People just don't know how to sit in silence. So much more can be said without saying anything at all.
I'm a positive open-minded thinker. Things happen for a reason, so try to make the best of it. Cliche, but it's true. I don't see the point in thinking the worse when you haven't even tried or experienced something. Think of it as going in with an open-mind. Whatever happens, happens. You can't stop it. You can't change it. Just go with it. Of course, be cautious, but don't write something off immediately.
Oh yes, and if you want the truth... I'll give you the truth. For the most part, I'll try to spare your feelings, but... I refuse to sugarcoat things.

Married to my first love and a wonderful man, Raffy (11.12.05) + Mother to one (1) Bernese Mountain Dog named Cooper, one (1) Mini Rex Rabbit named Rufus, and four (4) Red Ear Slider Turtles all named Tim Duncan + Graduate of CSUSM + Currently working for the man as a Designer + Underpaid & Disgruntled + Aspiring to do BIGGER & BETTER things + Jack of All Trades, but aspiring to be A Master of All

Loves to Sing + Loves Music (plays piano and percussion; trying to learn acoustic guitar) + Loves deep stimulating conversations + Loves anything dealing with the Creative Arts + Loves to Travel + Loves learning new things
