Cornmeal and the Mulletwagons

About Me

I'm frequently a guest musician with a variety of different bands.
Cornmeal and the Mulletwagons is years of great ideas collaborated into a single musical fiasco. This band is just for fun so don't get the idea that we're the Beatles or the Smashing Pumpkins of the 2000's. What he lacks in musical talent, Cornmeal makes up for in passion for the music. All of the ideas come from Cornmeal and his crazy go nuts head, many times while mowing the lawn or driving home late.

The music posted is when I'm playing cowbell with The Outlaw Sea, on their album "Shipsets and Sunwrecks." Music used with permission.

I'm currently a member of Grammy nominated Baked Alaska.
I was a member of The Outlaw Sea until their death.
I frequently play with Queens Club.
I have played guest with Cloud City, Quiet Company, Sweetwater Abilene, The Springs, Here I Come Falling, Ties That Bind, Starrfadu, Vacation T Shirt , Elora, Petticoat Pinups, & more.

Band Members: Cornmeal (you know, Jason): Lead vocals, songwriting, cowbell, tambourine, old ceramic jug, duct tape roll, harmonica, keyboard and synthesizer effects, accordion, flutaphone(recorder), Kazoo, jingle bell stick, chain saw, Snakes in a Jug, various other fun stuff not yet mentioned. The Mulletwagons: background vocals, all other instruments or noises.
Influences: Cornmeal's mind, sleep deprivation, chocolate cake, cheese, Strongbad, the Cheat, Bob Barker, anything with keytars, Discover America, The Mountain Goats, Okkervil River, mewithoutYou, Lovedrug, Further Seems Forever, Maylene and The Sons of Disaster, The Beatles, and a load of good bands that I don't have time to mention right now. If I listen to it and like it, it influences me in some way. It doesn't mean it necessarily sounds like these bands.

Sounds Like: Dying roosters, constipated baboons, squirrels on cocaine, music that Napoleon would dance to, eleventy billion rabid possums stomping the city of Albuquerque, sizzling bacon, koala bears jumping into vats of highly-processed liquified cheddar cheese, wombats exploring a meatgrinder, stuff Strongbad and the Cheat like, marsupials on the loose chasing a goose, the list goes on...
Record Label: Mulletcore Records
