My Interests

Shopping; cleaning; gardening and growing my beloved pumpkins; exercising; taking naps (usually in that order); collecting cool quotations; reading; writing (but not arithmetic); getting tattoos (5 and counting); getting in and out of debt; refolding my many wool sweaters; and, ultimately, reinventing myself.....

I'd like to meet:

Jesus, Jackie Kennedy, and my Dad again.

Music:

I will listen to ANYTHING. My iPod thingie has everything from classic rock to country to hip-hop to bubble gum pop on it. Yeah.I am hopelessly devoted to Depeche Mode. I especially like Alanis Morissette; Bruce Springsteen; Trans-Siberian Orchestra; Dave Matthews Band; Vanessa Carlton; Queen....

Movies:

The best movie ever is Goodfellas. Don't even bother arguing me. The Crow (with the REAL Brandon Lee, God rest his soul) is hauntingly beautiful and my other favorite movie. I also love (and live) Gone with the Wind, y'all.

Television:

There is no other channel but Court TV. If it doesn't have dead, decaying people being identified soley by their dental records, I don't want to watch it.I will, however, consider Animal Planet because it, too, has dead decaying people... with animals eating them. Field trip! The best new show is Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. It's about a family of meerkats ("The Whiskers") that's actually as fucked up as my own ("The Wilsons"), only they can stand on their hind legs and we cannot. But we're learning.I only watch shit on cable TV and I basically watch the same 5 channels which loosely translates into the fact that I pay a lot of money to those Comcast bastards each month for like 5 channels. Yeah.

Books:

Never mind reading for class.... I LOVE ghost stories, but they must be true. Screw that fiction crap. I want to read about someone's dead grandfather returning from the other side to haunt the hell out of the living and make the cat's hair stand on end. I also love any writings by Edna St. Vincent Millay and Christina Rosetti; the more melancholy, the better. I also quite enjoy the tabloids (e.g., US, In Touch) because laughing at Jessica Simpson's misfortunes while rockin' the elliptical machine is awesome. And who can forget the J. Crew catalog? Is it time for spring clothes already?

Heroes:

Jackie Kennedy and my mom.... From them I have learned that when you suffer, shut your mouth, hold up your head, smile, and then fall apart when no one's watching.

Father's Day

Anyone out there not knowing what to do on Father's Day since they don't have a father to celebrate it with?
