Mike Brooks, James Rutledge and Jimmy Wright met at school in the hills of Ashbourne in Derbyshire. Forever cooking up musical storms, they went their separate ways to study at university. James and Jimmy recorded with Dave Tyack as part of the eccentric Dakota Oak Trio (D.O.T), whilst James released records under the name Pedro. Following the loss of Dave Tyack and a break of three years, the three friends reconvened in London and discussed making and releasing music at their own pace, outside of fashion and label constraints. Leisurely recording sessions gradually revealed a new sound, hopping between revolving kraut, naive thrums and passages of guitar noise. Chris Walmsley (All Traps Set, Broadcast and Voice of the Seven Woods) plays drums for this release.
