About Me

We've been together since March of '96. When he was 16 and I was 20. Yes, I'm a cradle robber, I know. We've been married since February, 1999, and we didn't waste any time starting a family. A.J. (8) was born eleven months later. Then came Nick (5) in 2002 and to everyone's surprise Mia (4) came along in 2003. Tony got his paramedic license and has gone to work at DRMC, and is still working towards his nursing degree. I've been a stay-at-home mom since October when the rice harvest was over, and I began my online courses in early childhood development/education last week. I'm very excited about it. I hope to find a full-time job in the near future, before I go insane. Never thought I'd get tired of being at home! A.J. is in second grade and Nick is in kindergarten, both at Parks. Mia goes to Head Start and I feel terribly old since they're all in school now. I can't wait to start adopting as soon as we can. I think we'll give Brad and Angelina a run for their money!

My Interests

anything family-related. We love going to stay at our family's cabin in the summer and spend all weekend fishing and swimming. We also have an awesome camping spot on a sand bar right in the middle of the Mississippi River. Other than that, we're homebodies and love to just chill out on the couch and watch movies

I'd like to meet:

Old friends, new friends, and long lost family members. I would love to get in contact with people from all the places I grew up. Prentiss, New Hebron, Crystal Springs and of course, Cleveland.

Music:

Eclectic doesn't even come close to our tastes in music. We both love all kinds of music, but we each have our weaknesses. I have an embarrassing love of all eighties hair bands. All time faves are Alanis, Bush, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, the Presidents and Blind Melon. Tony loves rap, r&b, classical and blues. I've even managed to convince him to listen to country on a few occasions. He'd never admit it, but I've caught him singing along with my Alanis CD.

Movies:

me - "the breakfast club", (actually anything related to molly ringwald and the brat pack), "young guns I and II" "Dirty Dancing" (I've seen it 47 times since I was 10) him - "The matrix trilogy", "star wars series", "lord of the rings series", "blade trilogy" together - "the notebook" Armageddon, "four rooms" anything lampoon Napoleon Dynamite and Bubba Ho-tep

Television:

we have a different passion about shows every year. It was "Friends" for ten years, we caught onto "Big Brother" for a while, "Survivor" and "The amazing race". My guilty pleasures are "The Girls Next Door" and "The Simple Life"- we also loooove "Scrubs"

Books:

I absolutely love to read, but have no time for it anymore. With everyone in school, I have to settle for second grade homework or Anatomy and Nursing to help him study.
