Without question, rap duo, Beatdown Tree, hits at the core of new age Hip Hop. Unhurriedly emerging from the ‘Nashville Underground scene,’ Beatdown Tree reminds the world that ‘Music City’ is not just Country.The multi- talented pair is comprised of Sabo and Byro. Sam “Sabo†Banks has longed acknowledged music to be apart of him. Both of his parents are Gospel singers; his father was a vocalist in the Clouds of Heaven and his mother sings for the Church Choir. Catching the ‘music bug,’ Sabo started producing music for local artists and expounded on his talent by attending Middle Tennessee State University and receiving an Undergraduate degree in Music Business and later, his MBA Masters Degree. Self-supporting his career as a rap artist, Sabo is proficient in production and mastering in audio and video, and runs his own company SaboSound Productions.Growing up in the church, Byron R. Hall also known as Byro, whose family tradition is deep rooted in Gospel, his father being a pianist and vocalist and his aunts also being Gospel singers, soon honed in on his talent and began playing drums for the church choir. When he was not in church, Byro played in the drum section of his High School marching band in Fort Lauderdale, Fl under the direction of his band instructor and mentor, “Daddy†Gibbs.Staying true to their talent and themselves, the twosome makes music to have fun. “Our music is real. Everything that we talk about we either have done it, or are doing it- and what we do, is have fun! We don’t do hard core music, just something that will make you smile and enjoy the freedom of doing what you want to do- and how you want to do it,†describes Byro! Their singles, “No Fun†and “Shake it Up†are sure club bangers. The originality from the lyrics to the beats is what makes Beatdown Tree the alternative to the “Crunk†and “Street Lyrics†explosion of Hip Hop today.Taking their career seriously, you can catch Beatdown Tree hustling by doing shows and passing out T-shirts and CD’s were ever there is a crowd.Beatdown Tree is a reflection of the twosome’s talent, energy, uniqueness and love for the music. “Beatdown Tree represents continuous growth from our family tree, and passing our talents and accomplishments onto the next generation of nieces, nephews and kids in our families. The roots represent the musical backgrounds of each rhyming partner. Our music careers started from ground up- blossoming into a new tree of success,†explains Sabo.
