About Me
“‘If I can say it in one word, he's anointed.’†– Birmingham News, 1/31/07Bernard Williams, II, is a true vessel of the Lord, and an artist who believes in the true power of praise and worship. Throughout being born in Birmingham, AL, raised in Cleveland, OH, and a 2002 graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, God’s favor has continued to guide and open doors. A true instrument, Bernard has been singing since age 4, playing piano since age 7, and writing songs since age 14. The Lord has blessed him with several awards and accolades throughout his high school and collegiate career, and to sing across the world with choral, gospel, and barbershop choruses. He has the privilege of sharing the stage with such singers as the Clark Sisters, Isaac Hayes, Al Green, John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, Kim Burrell, and Dr. Judith Christie-McAlister. He was even blessed to be a Top 40 contestant during the sixth season of the international phenomenon American Idol (2007) and a 2008 Top Six Finalist for GMC's Gospel Dream. However, throughout commercial and personal successes, Bernard’s heart and passion has always been for ministry and serving God’s people. He is currently attending New Birth Missionary Baptist Church (Bishop Eddie Long) and a staff member of the National Baptist Congress Children's and Youth Rally. He travels the country educating the body of Christ of the power of Praise & Worship and speaking to young people honestly and earnestly about the importance of seeking God first, especially at a young age. As a survivor of pre-mature birth, a product of a divorced home, and an overcomer of depression and suicide, Bernard’s unique relationship with Christ serves as a living example of Christ’s redeeming power. In the midst of the life’s struggles and successes, Bernard continues to give God all the glory and honor, and daily seeks Christ for guidance, direction, and anointing. His daily prayer is that the Lord would use him as a vessel, and not merely a figurehead.
