I do my thing and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
-Frederick E. Perl
It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally evil, but by people being fundamentally people.

Alright reading is a must. If you haven't read any book beside that crappy Lord of the Flies they made you read in high school, than you frickin suck. Unfortunately, I like few authors and the one's that I do like..I've already read everything they've written. *sniffle* My favorite genre is adult fairy tales-when the author takes a child's tale and restores it back to its grittier, sordid former glory. You can't have a good tale without violence, sex, and death. In abundance. And recently I started to read Science Fiction, something which I used to hate. (Incidentally, you have got to read the book called Armor by John Steakley. OMG it rocked!)
Favorite author's are:
Dennis L. McKiernan-Yay! Mithgar series!!!
Takashi Matsuoka-Love this guy.
Patricia C. Wrede-Enchanted forest chronicles.
Dean Koontz-Fear Nothing and Seize the Night.
Juliet Marillier-The Sevenwater Trilogy
Alice Sebold-Lovely bones, girls: READ THIS BOOK.
The man in red is just so cool. Death didn't stop this guy, and neither did a whining Tidus.
It's freakin Alucard. 'Nuf said.
Medusa is a hero to me, not because she did anything good, but because her story is so tragic. Seduced/Raped by a god, then punished for petty jealousy and turned into a monster. Only to be murdered a would be hero.
