From the mind of DJ Needles comes a notion to connect as many foward-thinkin, ultra-soulful, mildy stubborn, funked-up, flat-out dope deejays as there are on the planet.
The Soulition was organized in the summer of 2007 by Needles while in Dallas, Texas for the great Frances Jaye's "I Got Soul" conference. Meeting so many progressive deejays, artists and promoters, Needles felt there needed to be something truly connecting all of these soulfully talented artists together. As there are many great radio/club oriented DJ organizations such as The Aphiliates, Core DJs, Derrty DJs and so forth, there wasn't enough organizations promoting those who tend to choose a more soulful path.
Enter: The Soulition.
Ofcourse, there are truly phenomenal collectives already such as True School, No Wack DJs, Wax Murdererz and others; so with The Soulition, Needles wanted to create a common thread throughout this whole soul deejay community and make sure when heads see the logo, they know what the deal is.
The mission is clear, PLAY GOOD MUSIC WELL.
