$15.99"Low-rent Las Vegan Dino Lee & his White Trash Revue wowed mid-80s Austin audiences with kitsch-laden soul explosions like 'Wayne Newton is a Dyke.' "
- Greg Beets, 80108.com
"As the self-proclaimed (and unchallenged) King of White Trash, Dino staged spectacular tributes to Caligula, pioneered the merger of rock 'n' roll and pro wrestling and pretty much stole the show when MTV's `Cutting Edge' devoted an entire one hour program to Austin in 1985."

He's the Sultan of Schtick, the Master of Mirth, the King of White Trash. Ladies and Genitalmen - the mighty DINO LEE!!
When DINO LEE ruled with the WHITE TRASH REVUE and the JAM & JELLY GIRLS in the mid-Eighties, the modern-day showband was the hottest local ticket in Austin . Their fans cut across all genres from mohawked punks to Sinatra fans and the band's outrageous repertoire made them Austin press darlings and a particular favorite of local musicians.
While the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Stevie Ray Vaughan were selling millions and the press was consumed with New Sincerity bands like the True Believers, DINO and company stormed the clubs like the bastard child of Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Wayne Cochran in Rat Pack drag. The first album, 1985's Dino Lee: King of White Trash is now accorded cult status. In 1986 when MTVs "The Cutting Edge" came to town on then-new Music Network, Dino stole the show .
And whaddaya know ... more than 20 years after the fact, DINO LEE & THE WHITE TRASH REVUE is remembered in blogs and credited with influencing bands like Murry Hammond's pre-Old 97s band the Peyote Cowboys.
