Emily H. Keith aka "Swirl"

Hi everyone, my name is Emily Keith but I go by "Swirl". I love vanilla chocolate swirl ice cream, and i am mixed with black & white (chocolate & vanilla); so I figure the significance of my alias speaks for itself.Currently I've been making beats for about two year. I started off using software in the beginning; but I will advise everyone out there who is using software to switch to hardware. You just can't get that perfect sound you're looking for using sofware. I have made some pretty good beats using software; but when i switched to hardware, i began to find my own style. I have an abundance of variety, I do not have a sound that I'm limited to like some of our main stream producers. I have noticed that about 99.9% of main stream and independant producers sample everyone else's material. I have never sampled someone else's work and put it to a track. I've played around with samples, just to get the feel of it, but it's not my style.When someone heres my music, I want them to know that that song is 100% from my heart. I put my heart in to every one of my beats or songs that I write. I do not hop on my eqipment and be like: "I'm about to make a hip hop beat." I make a beat based on what I am feeling at that time, then I catergorize it afterwards.I am a college student at this time majoring in Music Industry; my dreams of being a great music producer are coming a bit too soon; sooner than i expected. I have been offered many opportunities to work with artists and producers with the same passions for music that i possess. Unfortunately, I am only looking to build a network and gain experience before I go MainStream.
