About Me

* * *
COVER THE CRISIS SEES GUITARIST RICH SLEEMAN RETURN TO THE FRONT OF THE STAGE AS A FRONT MAN. AFTER HONING HIS PLAYING WITH VARIOUS LOCAL BANDS IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE HE STEPPED BACK UP TO THE MICROPHONE. WITH AN INSTANTLY RECOGNIZABLE VOICE, SUBTLE BUT CLEVER LYRICS AND SOME INTRICATE GUITARING, HE LEADS THE BAND THROUGH THEIR ORGANIZED CHAOS PERFECTLY.
* * *
SITTING IN THE VETERANS CHAIR / DRUM STOOL IS JAMES PACKER. HAVING PLAYED DRUMS FOR 15 YEARS HAS DONE HIM NO HARM AS YOU WILL SEE / HEAR / FEEL WHEN HE HITS THAT FIRST BASS DRUM. AS AN ACCOMPLISHED MUSICIAN, HE IS COMFORTABLE PLAYING ANY STYLE, WHICH LENDS TO SOME STUNNING GROOVES AND POWERFUL BREAKS. MIXING UP DIRTY GROOVES WITH A CHAOTIC BREAK-BEAT EDGE, HE IS TRULY A WONDER TO WATCH.
* * *
LASTLY, THROWING HIMSELF AROUND THE STAGE IS THE OVER-SIZED PRESENCE OF MATTHEW WHITE. HAVING SPENT THE LAST 10 YEARS AS A GIGGING MUSICIAN, HE IS A TIGHT AND DYNAMIC RHYTHM PLAYER. SLINKING BETWEEN PHAT GROOVES, LOCKED IN TIGHTLY WITH THE DRUMS, TO HARD, DRIVING BASS LINES, WHILST FINDING THE TIME / ENERGY TO SING AND PLAY SOME GUITAR HE COMPLETES THE LINEUP.
