I'm fascinated by labyrinths... studying them... walking them... designing and building them, I've built both temporary and permanent ones... I have held workshops on this subject at conferences and have three permanent installation at Montessori schools - one in Mexico I painted on concrete, one in the upstate of SC and another one in Kansas City, Missouri at Clay-Platte Montessori School. Another permanent labyrinth I designed is installed at a private home In Lugoff, SC. I'm a new member of The Labyrinth Society. I don't know why I put it off so long... what a great group of people.
Visit the World Wide Labyrinth Locator and find a labyrinth near you, or search for the ones I built.

My labyrinth work is of the ancient and yet is contemporary... I'm spititual, but not religious in today's traditional sense, and inclusive in my way of thinking about the world.
I am a creative creature with many interests...
I'm a songwriter... I love lyrics... I admire anyone who can take an idea, a feeling, a story.. or event, and turn it into words, words, words.... that other people can relate to or be affected by to a significant degree...
I play guitar and a bit of piano... rhythm stuff, simple stuff. When I play through a break, I always look around and ask, "What happened to the lead guitar player? Where'd he go?" That usually gets a little laugh, and occasionally some air guitar from some kind soul.
Indian Mounds are some of my favorite kinds of places. I find myself always energized by visiting them. Similarly, Civil War forts and older forts, Lighthouses and anyplace with a view and some history will have an effect on me. I love high places, be it Cahokia Indian Mounds near East St. Louis,
or tall buildings anywhere, especially if they have a nice observation deck. Some people are afraid of heights, I love them.
I've been known to ask permission to climb to the top of a grain elevator to see the view from up there... I do need to feel safe when climbing, or otherwise up high, but the height itself is not scary, it's usually awe inspiring.
I relate my philosophy of life closely to what I understand of Native American Spirituality. I respect the earth and its creatures.
I also enjoy making wine and sharing it with friends.
Montessori Education has had a major influence in how I live. It is more than a teaching philosophy or methodology. It is a way of life. Being responsible, choosing peaceful solutions, embracing diversity, living in balance.
To end this soliloquy of sorts, if there is reincarnation, I wouldn't mind coming back as M.E. Sure there are mistakes I've made and choices I would make differently today... yet I am who I am because of all my experiences, and I wouldn't want to change that. That's more than enough about me for any chance meeting..... who are you?
