About Me

In 1982, TV Horror Hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark decided to put her musical talents to use and released her first vinyl record, "Elvira and the Vi-Tones". The album featured the single "3-D TV" sung by Elvira, and the B side "Elvira's Theme" from her hit TV show, Movie Macabre. That same year, she recorded another single, "Trick -or- Treat". Both songs were featured as music videos on Movie Macabre and later, on her MTv Halloween Special. The success of the first album lead to a second record in 1983 titled, Vinyl Macabre. Vinyl Macabre was a various artist compulation that featured party songs for Halloween, with introductions by Elvira. Elvira's Theme was also included. In 1987, Elvira returned to the music world with the album, "Haunted Hits", and featured Elvira's 3rd single, "Full Moon".Seven years passed before Elvira's next compulation. 1994 saw the return of Elvira on CD. "Elvira Presents Monster Hits". The format once again being a party album of various artists, only this time Elvira added two new tracks of her own - "Monsta Rap", which is a campy rap song with a send up of Madonna's hit "Vouge", and "Here Comes the Bride Of Frankenstein" featuring vocals by Fred Schnider of The B-52's.That following year brought "Revenge Of The Monster Hits", and two more new singles from Elvira, "Haunted House" and the Nancy Sinatra-esqu "Zombie Stomp" (Are you ready boots?!) The music video for "Haunted House" was filmed in spectacular IMAX 3-D and presented in the feature film, "Encounter In the Third Dimension". It is to date, the first and only 3-D music video of it's kind.In 2007, Elvira teamed up with tougne-n-cheek band, Leslie and the Ly's. Elvira performed Vincent Price/Thriller style guest vocals on a track called "Zombie Killer". The music video for the track, which is featured on Youtube has Leslie & The Ly's performing for zombies in a theater called "The Elvira Stadium".Other musical works by Elvira include "Here I Am", the memorable Las Vegas number featured in the final scene of the 1988 feature film, Elvira Mistress Of The Dark. "Here I Am" was produced by the legendary Todd Rundgren.
In 2001, Elvira returned to the big screen with "Elvira's Haunted Hills", which featured a comical musical number titled, "Le Music Hall".Elvira also had her own musical stage show at California based theme park, "Knott's Berry Farm". Durning the month of October, the park becomes "Knott's Scary Farm" and is the largest Halloween event in the country. Elvira played hostess of the scary farm all month long with her own Las Vegas styled show in the main theater. The show ran every season from 1981 - 2001 and featured Elvira and her troupe of dancers performing Halloween parody songs (a la Weird Al) and stand-up comedy. For more information on Elvira and her music career, visit www.elvira.comViva Las Vegas - Elvira
