A question was asked to an audience of 2,000 at an empowerment conference, The speaker bolted: "What impact do you want to have on the world?" This question has never lost its power and force, Donchaé Jarmar Sampson the CEO/President and sole designer to the Humphrei & Jæ'bore House continues to figure his impact on the world and is still living to find the answer. Sampson was born English and African to his father Teri Sampson of Yorkshire and his mother Stephanie Moore of Mississippi.
"Designing is one of my two greatest passions, Within this I aspire to become well known in my craft and from that -help other young passionate fashion designers succeed as well."
Sampson attended Barnsley Christian School in South Yorkshire, for middle school he attended Anderson Academy in Chicago, and from there he attended Kenwood Academy High School in Hyde Park.
The fashion industry became much more interesting during his model/actor training at John Robert Powers. In his senior year, A few seniors and himself directed the highschool Spring fashion show titled "What Dreams May Come"; This stirred him even the more. He endeavours to design a gown for Cate Blanchett, his most favourite actress. He is continually inspired and influenced by the haute couture and high fashion works of Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Anna Sui, Christian Dior and Karl Lagerfeld with Chanel.
Donchaé Sampson is presently in the states, preparing to release Humphrei & Jæ'bore in the UK for 2009. From a young boy who endured the terrors of asthma, He lives strong today and says "Try me! To every oppression!" He is a true prophetic and artistic force to be reckoned with.
Humphrei & Jæ'bore is a rising fashion house, that will design for individual clients and cater to people at exclusive Humphrei & Jæ'bore Stores & Boutiques. Humphrei is derived from the German and English "Humphrey", Meaning Peaceful war. Jæ'bore is Arabic, Meaning Happiness. Humphrei is our mens collection and Jæ'bore is our womens collection.
Our idea is that wars do not always have to end in bloodshed, but through being openminded they can bring about peace and happiness, Humphrei & Jæ'bore. We articulate the essence of fierce and artful war of the urban & prep style.
A Humphrei & Jæ'bore woman holds her own ground and is not vulnerable to wickedness. She stands firm in her identity and is bold with everything she puts on. Her confidence is never misunderstood for arrogance, and her royalness...draws all unto her. Her day could include a jacket that escapes with the wind at the end, and jeans that bless her. Shes loving and understanding, but don't cross her too many times.
The Humphrei & Jæ'bore man, is not too different. He's humble and strong, He knows who he is and can never be knocked down -unless by divine encounter. Time waits on him and maybe a few others. When he enters a building, royalty is in the room and he has a walk and a background to prove it. He laces his neck with a linen scarf, he dresses casually in a white silk-cotton polo and white bavlna pants. He's a strongminded individual, his heart is full of compassion and his words are wise and sincere.
Humphrei & Jæ'bore has a variegated collection of high fashion & couture fashions; that are chic, whimsical and zingy. Developing a line or "starting a war" with two different trends into something that has been rising since the year 2000. We hold incomparable identity to what you may know as "urban-prep luxury".
We here at the Humphrei & Jæ'bore Company know the importance of stating who you are; So we produce quality pieces that you and we ourselves demand. Our mission and purpose is to affect our audience, to illuminate the beauty in the midst of global turmoil and chaos. Established February 2007, the H&J House will make a major release in 2009 with their first mens and womens, Spring|Summer 2010 collection.
