Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded upon many principles that are intended to be efficacious in uplifting the Black woman, as well as the human race. These principles are considerably strong, in their being the "active ingredient" of the foundation upon which our 200,000 plus members stand today. Since 1948, the Gamma Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has continued to set the pace , in its being the Sorority's FIRST undergraduate chapter in the state of Mississippi, and nevertheless in its production of the most influential, goal-driven women in the state, region, country...the world.
It is evident that the Women of Gamma Psi are continuing the esteemed legacy of the Sorority's Twenty-Two Founders in many ways, and by their working diligently to promote the fundamental principles and morale of their respected Sorority, they are definitely making their Founders' dream a reality.
